Booth. Privacy

Privacy policy.

Effective 20 May 2026
Short version: Booth stores your photo strips on your own device. Nothing is uploaded to us. We don't track you, we don't sell anything, we don't show ads. Camera access is used only to take the photos you ask for, when you ask for them.

Who runs this

Booth is a photo booth app for couples and friends. This privacy policy covers both the mobile app (iOS + Android) and the web app available at booth.studio (or wherever you've installed it).

What data we collect

Photos you capture. When you start a session, your device's front or back camera captures still photos. These photos are written to your device storage (private app cache + optionally your Photos library). They never leave your device.

Saved photo strips. When you tap Save, Booth renders the final strip as a PNG and stores it in your device's Photos library and in an in-app gallery (AsyncStorage on mobile, localStorage on web). Both are local-only.

Preferences. Your selected theme, caption, photo count, and capture mode are remembered for next time, locally only.

That's the complete list. We do not collect names, emails, contacts, location, device identifiers, IP addresses, advertising IDs, or analytics events.

What we don't do

Permissions we ask for

Camera — required to capture photos. We only activate the camera while a session is running.

Photo library (write only) — optional. Asked only if you tap Save, to write the final strip PNG to your Photos. Booth never reads existing photos in your library.

You can revoke either permission at any time from your device settings. The app falls back to placeholder portraits if camera access is denied.

Children

Booth is rated for Everyone. It contains no chat, no user-generated sharing, no in-app purchases, and no third-party SDKs. It is safe for children under 13 to use with parental consent, but we do not target children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect any data from anyone.

Your data, your device

Because everything is stored on your device, you control deletion. To remove all Booth data:

Changes to this policy

If we ever change this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. If the change involves new data collection, we'll ask for your consent in the app before any new collection begins.
